Low Cost Spay & Neuter

About the Program

Caroline County Humane Society offers a low-cost spay and neuter program to help make essential veterinary care more accessible for pet owners in our community.

This program is available for owned dogs and cats belonging to residents of Caroline County.

Services are provided through a partnership with a veterinary clinic and are offered one day per week based on appointment availability.

This program is supported by grant funding that allows qualifying households to receive services at no cost. Residents who do not qualify for grant assistance may still participate at a reduced fee.

Our goal is to remove financial barriers so more pets can receive this important care, helping prevent unwanted litters while supporting the long-term health of animals in our community.

Why Spaying and Neutering is Important

Spaying and neutering provides significant health and behavioral benefits for pets while also helping reduce animal overpopulation.

Benefits include:

  • Preventing unwanted litters

  • Reducing the number of animals entering shelters

  • Lowering the risk of certain cancers and infections

  • Decreasing roaming and some behavior challenges

  • Supporting longer, healthier lives for pets

Access to affordable spay and neuter services is one of the most effective ways we can improve outcomes for animals across Caroline County.
