A Night in the Kennel for a Cause
The Slumber Pawty is one of the most unique and meaningful fundraising events hosted by the Caroline County Humane Society.
Held every April, this annual event brings together animal lovers, community leaders, and local businesses for a night that raises both funds and awareness for the animals in our care.
During the Slumber Pawty, dedicated participants spend the night sleeping in a kennel with a shelter dog, sharing their experience and raising funds leading up to the event.
While the experience is fun, heartwarming, and sometimes a little chaotic, it also highlights the reality many shelter animals face every night — waiting in their kennels for someone to notice them and give them a chance.
Participants document their overnight experience through photos, videos, and social media updates, helping shine a spotlight on the animals waiting for homes while encouraging friends, family, and community members to support the cause.

How to Get Involved

Become a Slumber Pawty Participant
Slumber Pawty participants commit to raising funds leading up to the event and then spend the night at the shelter with one of our dogs.
Throughout the evening, participants share their experience through social media, videos, and live updates as they get to know their overnight kennel companion and introduce their audience to the animals at the shelter.
